The Men's Club's Annual Miami Heat Game

Sunday, January 29, 2012 saw 60 intrepid sports fans board a luxury liner bus on the Temple Beth El parking lot and travel to Miami to witness backboard-burning game that was packed with excitement and suspense. The occasion was the the Men's Club Annual Basketball outing that this year attracted a record number for an evening of top NBA action, a fine Kosher meal and tons of fun and fellowship. Some photos from the day are posted to the right. If you have any more please email them to webadmin@bethelwpb.com. Much thanks to Ilan Kottler for all his hard work and dedication in organizing this event.

Why should I join Men’s Club?  What have they done for me?

by Marvin Adler, Men's Club President
Well, let me tell you just some of the things that Men’s Club has done this past year:
  •  Breakfast every Sunday after morning minyan
  • Speakers to entertain, enlighten and educate
  • Pancake breakfasts to honor those who have done so much for our Temple
  • Dinners out on the town
  • Events such as Heat Basketball games and Cirque du Soleil
  • Yellow Candles to help remember those who perished in the Holocaust
  • Remember A Child program – say Kaddish for children murdered by the Nazis
  • Donated over $5000 and manpower to the Temple to sponsor everything from purchase of a Popcorn Machine to Cleaning Tallitot to Children’s activities during the High Holidays, Sukkot, Purim and Chanukah.
  • Greeting you every Saturday at Services
Coming soon...
  •  A newsletter with lots of interesting material to read.  Would you like to write an article?  Let us know.  We will have a Business & Professional directory, listing Men’s Club members and their businesses, to facilitate networking among our members. Want more contacts?  Come to Men’s Club!

How can we do all of these things?

  • Because of you and others who join Men’s Club and help us run such amazing programs.  So join us.  Send in the form, but more importantly, get involved.  You will help your Men’s Club, your Temple, your Community, and yes, you will even help yourself.  You will know that wonderful feeling we get when we do something truly worthwhile.

The cost for all of this goodness?  Only a $40 donation!

By the way, even though we are a Men’s Club, we invite and encourage women to join us, too. Help us make Men’s Club and Temple Beth El even better in the coming year.
                            Thank you,
                            Marvin Adler, President
