Educational Director Glenn Sherman

Glenn ShermanThe past three years Glenn Sherman has been the Cantor, Torah reader and B’nai Mitzvah teacher at Temple Beth David in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

From 1995 to 2002, he served as the Torah Reader, Program Director, and Assistant to Rabbi Leonid Feldman and Hazzan David Feuer at Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach, Florida, it was there that Glenn created the Frequent Davener Program designed to continue teenagers involvement in Temple services, following their B’nai Mitzvot.

Glenn Sherman’s passion for Judaism inspired him to become President of the Bachurei Chemed Synagogue in Long Beach, NY, a unique Orthodox Synagogue targeted at training the youth of the community in Torah reading and leading services.  It was that passion and natural ability to work with young people that led to five years as an educator at Camp Ramah in New York as well as Massachusetts.

Glenn was educated in New York, at The Hebrew Academy of Long Beach, The Yeshiva of Central Queens, and Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
