My name is Maci Morse and I am the new Youth and Programming Director here at Temple Beth El. I’m from Jacksonville, Florida where I participated in two of the youth groups offered by the USCJ – Kadima and USY. During my middle school and high school years in both Kadima and USY, I served in many board positions before eventually becoming a staff member. I attended Florida State University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2016. I’m currently attending Florida Atlantic University part-time to earn my Master’s in Social Work. I am also early childhood education certified through the Department of Children and Families.
I have so many fun programs and other ideas to bring to not only the youth here, but to the rest of the synagogue, and I cannot wait to get started. I plan to work with all of the temple’s various organizations to ensure their programs are carried out successfully. I will be starting some new Shabbat programs – Family Shabbat and Youth Shabbat – in addition to continuing Tot Shabbat. Additionally, I’ll be introducing three youth groups to the temple for grades fourth and fifth (Chalutzim), middle school (Kadima), and USY (high school).
I love puzzles, country music, everything Israel, and meeting new people. You’ll find me at the temple 5-6 days a week so please come by and introduce yourself!
