Rabbi Alan Bell

Rabbi Alan Bell
Rabbi & Spiritual Leader
ravalan@bethelwpb.com

Rabbi Alan Bell is passionate about sharing the word of Torah. "Torah is our guidebook through life's journey. Torah lifts us when we're down, gives us hope when we think there is none, and enhances our joy at all times."

As Temple Beth El nears its 100th anniversary, Rabbi Alan sees himself as the bridge between the past and future of the Synagogue, always mindful of the needs of all generations.

Rabbi Alan grew up in Northern New Jersey, attending Yeshiva day school, graduating from Yeshiva University, and receiving Smicha from Tzel HaTorah in Jerusalem. Rabbi Alan is unique in that before ascending the pulpit at Beth El, he had worked in several Synagogues as the Executive Director, including five years as Executive Director at Temple Beth El. Rabbi Alan now brings his "people skills" and love of Beth El to the Bimah.

Rabbi Alan is married to Rebbetzin Susan, his partner in all things. Alan and Susan have four daughters and three granddaughters. The Rabbi and Rebbetzin welcome all to join with the family that is Temple Beth El.

Rabbi Leonid Feldman

Rabbi Leonid Feldman
Rabbi Emeritus

Rabbi Leonid Feldman is a living example of the drama of modern Jewish history. Born in the former Soviet Union, Rabbi Feldman has experienced violent anti-Semitism, imprisonment in Russia as a Zionist activist, Jewish rebirth, and freedom in the West. His emotional return to his hometown of Kishinev was featured on NBC’s Today Show, as well as on Israeli national television.

Rabbi Feldman has been a visiting professor at the Jewish University of Moscow and the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. He has served as a scholar for the Wexner Heritage Foundation and as Director of Education for Soviet Émigrés in Italy. He has lectured in 37 states and 19 countries. In 2002, he was the keynote speaker at the Evangelical Christian Convention in Nairobi, Kenya.

He has been the subject of feature articles in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Jerusalem Post, Miami Herald, Los Angeles Times, Insight Magazine, Moment and many other general and Jewish publications. Rabbi Feldman holds graduate degrees in rabbinic studies from the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, in Education from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and in Physics and Theater Arts from Kishinev State Pedagogical Institute in the USSR. Camila Jimenez
Coordinator, Marketing and Young Jewish Professionals Network (YjPN)

Greetings to all members and visitors of Temple Beth El! I am Camila Jiménez, and I am delighted to share my passion for two important aspects of my life: my career in foreign trade and my commitment to our Jewish community.

Originally from Colombia, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, a field that I am passionate about and which has provided me with many rewarding opportunities. However, I also discovered that my other calling lies in strengthening and enriching Jewish life, especially among young people.

As Coordinator of the Young Jewish Professionals Group, I have the honor of merging my two passions by working to foster connection and participation among young people in our community. I firmly believe in the transformative power of youth and their ability to revitalize our tradition.

With a passionate team, we organize a variety of events and activities designed to attract young people back to Judaism and show them the beauty and warmth of our community at Temple Beth El. From cultural nights to learning opportunities and community service, we aim to provide a space where young people can connect, grow, and find meaning in their Jewish heritage.

It is a privilege to be part of this beautiful community, and I am excited to continue working alongside all of you to strengthen and enrich Jewish life at Temple Beth El.
