The Temple Beth El Men’s Club offers opportunities for fellowship and good works. The group meets for breakfast every Sunday after minyan (approximately 10:00 am). The meetings are open to all members and often feature a speaker. Major projects include Remember a Child, the Fishman Youth Fund, and the annual mailing of yellow candles for Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day). Men’s Club members assist as ushers for Shabbat and High Holy Days services, man the grill for member barbecues, provide financial support for temple programs and events, and are actively involved on event committees in support of the temple.
Remember a Child is an award-winning program established by the Men’s Club in which one commits to reciting the Kaddish memorial prayer and/or light a Yahrzeit candle in behalf of an assigned young victim of the Holocaust.
