Yom Hashoah Sunday, May 5th 9:00a to 2:00p Join us at Temple Beth El on Yom Hashoah for a moving and educational experience as we engage in the Butterfly Project. The Butterfly Project is a call to action through education, the arts, and the creation of memorials. It teaches social justice through Holocaust lessons, educating participants about the dangers of hate and intolerance to foster empathy and social responsibility.
On Sunday, May 5th at 10:00 AM, we will kick off with a brunch, co-sponsored by the Men's Club, featuring an inspiring speech from Rabbi Alan. We will then enjoy the Butterfly Project, followed by an emotional candlelight ceremony. We will paint ceramic butterflies, which will be displayed at our Temple Beth El as symbols of resilience and hope. In this way, we will remember the 1.5 million children who lost their lives during the Holocaust. Additionally, we will gather to honor Holocaust survivors and commemorate the 6 million who perished. Before the event, we will have a minyan at 9:00 AM.
Suggested donation of $18.
Join us to honor the victims of the Holocaust and commit to fighting against hate and intolerance in our world today. We look forward to seeing you at our Temple Beth El!
